Front-End Developer
New York, New York (required on-site) We're looking for a front-end developer with demonstrated proficiency writing maintainable, valid HTML & CSS by hand using modern best practices (CSS resets, grid frameworks, HTML5 boilerplate, etc.) in addition to JavaScript development (using jQuery). Also, you should be proficient at rich media development with Flash AS 2 and 3, banner experience a plus. We are primarily a Django shop, so experience working with Django's template language is a huge plus but it's more important that you're familiar and comfortable working with web frameworks and template languages in general (Ruby on Rails, etc.). We use git and github.com <http://github.com/> as our version control tools of choice, so ideally you would have previous experience with these tools or similar modern DVCS as you will be interacting with git/github routinely. Bonus points for not using DreamWeaver and for being able to run basic commands from the command line (meaning you should be comfortable working on a Mac or Linux-based computer). -
