New York, New York (required on-site) General Summary: New York Public Radio seeks an experienced Web Systems Engineer to administer its web infrastructure with an eye to security, stability and performance. The Web Systems Engineer will work as member of the Digital Operations team and be responsible for maintaining and improving existing systems, preparing for growth, and planning and implementing new technologies in a medium-to-high scale, high uptime environment. System Programmer

This position is funded as part of the HEA PRTLI4 project e-INIS, towards a National e-Infrastructure, and will be based at the Dublin offices of the Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC). The position is available immediately and the contract duration is until the 31st December 2011. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of system and application development experience, have a high level of initiative and be able to work as part of a distributed team in multiple roles and on different projects concurrently.
