Django: Now 10% less pornish

We've changed the default session cookie name. Instead of "hotclub", it's now "sessionid". Intended as a reference to the Hot Club of France (one of Django Reinhardt's bands), "hotclub" had been misinterpreted by some people as having some sort of porn-site meaning.

Oh, well. Wit and obscure references only go so far.

That's really a shame :(

What, no porn? Screw it I’m out of here.

Don't worry: You can keep using "hotclub" by changing your SESSION_COOKIE_NAME setting.

I worked at a major java application server company and we had to change the random string generated for sessions. Because they included a-zA-Z0-9 we would every once and a while (about 1 in 10000 times) generate a swear word in the session id.

I am such a sad guy: I take my ID's frmo floppy drives, or hard disks, or session id's and if I find one with something funny, I kinda think 'that's funny'.

I always wondered about that. (the swearing). My brain has too many free cycles.

I like to call my cookies dataporn (like in wired), you should have gone up a level on that one. Django is sexy... So what? Live up to it! sessionid reminds me of PHP.
