PyCon AU 2011 sprints

August 19, 2011

As part of PyCon AU 2011, there will be 2 days of sprints on August 22 and 23. This will be an excellent opportunity to contribute to Django.

If you can't join us in person, you are invited to participate online from wherever you are. Core developers will be available on freenode IRC: #django-sprint in order to review tickets and to assist you in the process.

Sprinting will start on Monday, and run from 9AM-10PM AEST (UTC+10) on both days.

The Django Software Foundation is a proud sponsor of PyCon AU 2011. We hope you can join us and help make the sprints as successful as possible.

DjangoCon 2011 is almost here

August 15, 2011

This year, DjangoCon US will be returning to the hub of open source software - Portland, Oregon - from September 6-10, 2011. Don’t miss out on the chance to come together as a Djangonaut community in the US. The event is for beginners to experts: 5 days to socialize, share ideas, work together and plan for continued success! There will be two tracks of talks over 3 days, followed by a 2-day sprint sponsored by Urban Airship. Our lineup includes keynotes by David Eaves & Brad Fitzpatrick, and talks by Alex Gaynor, Eric Holscher and many more!

Registration is now open; Purchase tickets online at djangoconus2011.eventbrite.com. Hotel registration is not included in the ticket price, but be sure to check out the hotel discounts that have been extended to August 19th!
