Jannis Leidel joins the DSF Board
A few weeks ago, the DSF announced the resignation of Jeremy Dunck from the Django Software Foundation board.
The DSF membership nominated a number of potential candidates to replace fill Jeremy's seat, and three of those candidates - Jannis Leidel, Kenneth Love and Daniele Procida - volunteered to stand for election. The membership cast their votes, and by a simple majority, elected Jannis. The board of the Django Software Foundation (DSF) has just met and voted unanimously to confirm Jannis to fill Jeremy's seat on the DSF board.
Jannis is a long-standing member of the Django community, and joined the core team in 2009. He has also been active in other Django- and Python-related Open Source projects.
The DSF would again like to thank Jeremy for his service to the DSF. We look forward to seeing the contributions that Jannis will make now that he is on the DSF board.
